Carol has worked with Chugach School District for ten years and has been with Voyage to Excellence Program for nine years now. Her degree is in Physical Education / Health and she has an extensive background in working with students in a school-to-life setting.

Billijo Mills - Life Skills
Facilitator
Billijo has worked for Chugach School District for 14 years. Billijo has spent nine years teaching in rural Alaska. She is excited to be working with rural students assisting them in developing their career goals.

Christopher Irvin - Character Counselor
This is Chris's third year with the Voyage to Excellence Program. His background is in psychology but he has worked in education for the past eight years. Chris’ primary role as counselor is to develop a supportive relationship with our students that allow him help build the foundation for their educational success. His primary goal is to help the students recognize that they have options – choices that they can make. His work includes Character Education, Intervention/Prevention, Class Room Support, and Asset Building.

Kirsten Alburg – Life Skills Facilitator
Kirsten has spent 8 years teaching in rural Alaskan villages/communities throughout the state and has a real passion for helping build self-confidence, pride and hope in Alaska's rural youth. This will be Kirsten's first year in the Voyage To Excellence Program and she's very excited to be working toward helping kids reach their dreams.
